The invention discloses an efficient dyeing wastewater treatment agent and a preparation method thereof. The treatment agent comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 2 to 15 parts of powdered carbon, 3 to 25 parts of sodium metasilicate, 0 to 1 part of tertiary butyl hydrogen, 5 to 25 parts of citric acid, 15 to 35 parts of sodium alginate, 15 to 45 parts of quaternary ammonium salt, 0.5 to 3 parts of potassium ethoxide, 5 to 20 parts of periodate potassium, 0 to 0.5 part of dithiothreitol and 3 to 12 parts of malic acid. The method comprises the steps of adding sodium metasilicate, periodate potassium and sodium alginate into water with the mass being 8 to 15 times of that of the three, then adding powdered carbon, tertiary butyl hydrogen, citric acid, potassium ethoxide, dithiothreitol and malic acid into the solution at the speed of 10 to 50g/s, and stirring for 1 to 1.5h; then adding the quaternary ammonium salt, and stirring for 30min, so as to obtain the treatment agent. The treatment agent is simple in formula, high in raw material availability, simple in production technology, easy to operate, low in cost, high in decoloration efficiency, and low in usage amount and washing cost, reduces the degree of pollution of industrial wastewater to the environment, and is applicable to mass production.
